International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated on 8 March annually to recognize women’s social, economic, cultural, and political achievements.
The first international women’s day was observed in 1911, and it has since been a global event, with the United Nations officially recognizing it in 1975.

This year’s theme is “Rights. Justice. Action. For All Women and Girls,” focusing on promoting gender equality and empowering women. Various events and initiatives are happening worldwide, including conferences and health drives, like the “emPOWERHer” campaign in Lagos, Nigeria, which is offering free health screenings, vaccinations, and wellness activities for women and children.
All of us at Incognito Blog wish every girl and woman a merry International Women’s Day celebration.
