Valentine’s Day, also known as Saint Valentine’s was a real historical figure from the 3rd century, he was a Christian clergyman, most accounts describe him as a priest in Rome.
He ministered to persecuted Christians during a time when the empire was cracking down on the faith. He was imprisoned and executed for his beliefs, and historical sources place his death around February 14, 269 or 270 AD.
He is recognized as the patron saint of Lovers, engaged couples and Happy marriages. The Catholic Church officially removed his feast from the universal calendar in 1969 to avoid confusion about the modern celebration.

Valentine’s Day today is all about celebrating love, affection, and connection in its many forms. Romantic partners, friends, family, or even self-love. It’s observed worldwide on February 14, falling on a Saturday this year, which makes it extra convenient for dates, outings, and a relaxing weekend.
