Easter 2026

Easter, also called Pascha or Resurrection Sunday, is a Christian celebration and cultural holiday that marks the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. It is the most important Christian holiday, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead three days after his crucifixion.

For Christians worldwide, it represents victory over sin and death, offering hope of eternal life and spiritual renewal. It marks the culmination of Holy Week, a period of reflection on Jesus’ final days. Jesus was crucified on Good Friday and rose on the third day (Easter Sunday).

This event is seen as the foundation of Christian faith. Through Jesus’ sacrifice and resurrection, believers can experience forgiveness and a restored relationship with God. Many churches hold special services, including vigils, to commemorate the occasion.

It also marks the end of the 40-day period of fasting, prayer and penance that started on Ash Wednesday

We at Incognito Blog wish our Christian readers all over the world a happy Easter Celebration.
