Human Rights Day 2025

Human Rights Day is observed annually on December 10th, to honor the adoption and proclamation of the the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) by the United Nations General Assembly in 1984.

The day is usually marked both by high-level political conferences, cultural events and exhibitions dealing with human rights issues. As well as UN events, forums, and campaigns. NGOs, schools, and communities run workshops, discussions, art, and social media drives.

It aims to celebrate the fundamental rights and freedom everyone is entitled to and to push for protection for all. Every voice matters in the fight for justice and equality.
